Hal Quinn, M.D.

 Mercer Island, Washington

 

 

On July 1, Dr. Hal C. Quinn of Mercer Island Pediatrics will celebrate his 25th anniversary of providing medical care to residents of Mercer Island and nearby areas. 

 

Dr. Quinn was born in Midland, Texas.  He married Terri Hildebrandt in 1980, who is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice in Bellevue, WA.  His daughters, Hayley and ZZ, and son, Sean, were all born in the Seattle area and have attended Mercer Island schools. 

 

Dr. Quinn received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Dallas in 1979 and graduated with a degree in medicine from Texas Tech University in 1983. He and Terri moved to Seattle in 1983. Dr. Quinn completed pediatric residency training at the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1986 and joined Mercer Island Pediatrics. He is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

 

Dr. Quinn has served as Chief of Pediatrics at Overlake Hospital and Medical Center for the past 3-1/2 years. He is one of the sidelines doctors for the MIHS varsity football team and is a volunteer for Boy Scout Troop 624.

 

In 2009, Dr. Quinn received the Richard A. Molteni Medical Staff award from Seattle Children’s Hospital.  This award recognizes members of the Seattle Children’s Hospital medical staff who stand out among their peers in their professionalism and quality of patient care.

 

When asked about his future plans, Dr. Quinn states, “Continue to work in a profession that gives me great joy. I feel so fortunate to have been given an opportunity to live and practice here. I love being a “small town doc” in this beautiful place.”
