Introducing a new doctor to our practice:
Dr. Alisha Wang
MIP is excited to announce that a marvelous, young pediatrician has agreed to join our practice and help in meeting your child’s ongoing health care needs. Dr. Alisha Wang is a PNW native and grew up on the Eastside of Seattle in Renton/Bellevue as a Chinese-American. She gained her Bachelors in psychology as well as her medical degree from University of Washington, so she considers herself a lifelong UW Husky. Dr. Wang is passionate for women's health and sexual health education. She spent time working in reproductive health as an AmeriCorps service member in San Francisco 2010-2011 and as a UW Global Health Fellow in Kenya 2015-2016. She completed her training in Pediatrics at UTSW Children's Health in Dallas, where she continued to explore projects in Foster Care Health and social determinants in health care. In her spare time, she is an avid 'foodie," who cooks and bakes incessantly. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and stand-up paddle boarding. In 2020, she was fortunate to marry her high school sweetheart, now her husband. She also loves outdoor time with her dog, Remy - named after one of her favorite Marvel comic book characters. She is a delight and shares Mercer Island Pediatrics’ vision of partnering with families and community to provide a comprehensive medical home.
