Introducing a new doctor to our practice:
Dr. Rhys Brooks

Dr. Rhys Brooks is a board-certified pediatrician who is passionate about caring for children of all ages.

His practice of medicine is centered around empowering families with knowledge and support in raising happy and healthy children. This led to his peers affectionately giving him the title of “Parent Whisperer” during his training. Dr. Brooks is interested in treating eating disorders and in placing contraception devices including IUD and subdermal implants.

Dr. Brooks was born in London, England but grew up in Vancouver, Washington and is excited to return to the Pacific Northwest. He received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico and then completed his Pediatrics Residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. Upon completion of his residency in 2021, Dr. Brooks assumed the role of Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor within the Division of Pediatrics at UCLA. In this position, Dr. Brooks led the Diversity Committee, where he worked to restructure curricula and build new programs to promote more diverse, equitable, and inclusive training of pediatric residents.

Dr. Brooks has also recently practiced medicine in the newborn nursery specializing in the care of healthy and complex newborns, and in adolescent clinics further refining his skills in providing mental health care and treating obesity.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Brooks’ loves running, exercising, cooking with his wife, and taking care of their cat, Bart.
