Little Patients, Big Questions!
We are excited to announce the launch of a new blog dedicated to answering the big questions our little patients and their families often wonder about. Starting Monday, May 4th, Dr. Serena Larsen and Dr. Claire Conrad will share useful and insightful posts every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month on our website. We want to be a resource for our community and help support parents/families by providing helpful information about kid health and well-being.
Why We Created This Blog
There are so many topics to navigate and questions that come up when kids grow up. There are also a lot of opinions out there in the world! It’s no wonder that sometimes these questions can feel overwhelming or hard to find reliable answers for. We want to offer a trusted space where families can get clear, practical advice.
In this blog, we will cover important information for families with children of any age. We will explore a wide range of common topics, from navigating common childhood illnesses and nutrition tips to supporting emotional well-being, preventing injuries, and staying safe during seasonal activities and outdoor adventures. Our goal is to make this medical information accessible and applicable.
What to Expect
Each blog post will focus on a specific question or topic relevant to children’s health. A lot of times these are even questions we commonly get from families in clinic!
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Clear explanations of medical terms and conditions
Practical tips for managing common health concerns at home and keeping kids healthy in different environments/settings
Answers to questions we hear often from families
Reliable information on best practices in pediatric care from your local pediatricians! We use sources like the American Academy of Pediatrics, Seattle Children’s hospital, trusted medical journals, as well as years of experience from our writers and colleagues.
We want this blog to be a helpful resource you can return to whenever you need guidance or reassurance.
How Often Will We Post?
You can expect posts every 1st and 3rd Monday of every month. Mark your calendar for Monday, May 4th, when Dr. Larsen will kick things off with water safety! We will be talking about important things to keep in mind for your baby, toddler, school age child and teen this spring/summer to keep them safe in the water.
